Puncak Niaga Holdings has written to Pengurusan Aset Air Bhd (PAAB) to seek clarification on matters pertaining to an offer to acquire the former’s subsidiaries by Selangor government investment arm Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Bhd (KDEB).
According to Puncak’s chief operating officer Syed Danial Syed Ariffin, this was after KDEB representatives it met today could not fully answer its queries.
“(The) management together with its adviser are currently studying KDEB’s responses,” he said in a statement late today.
He added that Puncak will only table the offer to the board of directors after it gets all the details.
KDEB last week made a collective offer of RM5.6 billion to Puncak’s wholly-owned water treatment company Puncak Niaga (M) Sdn Bhd and its 70-percent owned water distribution company Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas).
