Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) today issued a reminder to its staff and suppliers to adhere to its no-gift policy.
TNB said in a statement that the policy prohibited its staff and suppliers from giving any gift or accepting any in association with the company’s official duties.
The policy is in line with the integrity values practised by the company in its business, it said.
“Staff cannot get involved in any transaction that can undermine the good name of the company. TNB suppliers are not allowed to offer or give any gift to staff,” it said.
TNB said the policy is based on the TNB code of ethics and existing regulations so as to avoid any conflict of interest or negative perception involving any party to any transaction between TNB and outsiders.
