The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has revoked the Capital Market Services Representative’s Licence (CMRSL) of Khoo Chee Leong effective Aug 28, 2015.
In a statement today, the SC said that Khoo’s licence was revoked under Section 72, read together with Section 65 of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 (CMSA) for engaging in business practices appearing to the SC to be deceitful or otherwise improper.
“He was found to have facilitated the misutilisation of his clients’ monies by his assistant,” the SC said.
In addition, the SC also found Khoo had failed to execute clients’ instructions relating to disposal of certain shares.
Khoo was formerly a Kenanga Investment Bank Bhd’s CMRSL holder for dealing in securities.
He has not filed any appeal against SC’s decision to revoke his licence within the prescribed time provided in the CMSA, the SC said.
