Myanmar Tin IngotsThe Kuala Lumpur Tin Market (KLTM) closed higher at US$15,570 a tonne today, up US$130, in line with the increase in the metal price on the London Metal Exchange (LME).

The LME tin price increased US$20 to US$15,600 a tonne.

The dealer said the price on the KLTM rose much more than on the LME on a technical correction.

Today’s trading was supported by scattered buying from the Europeans, locals and Japanese, with the former dominating the market.

At the opening bell today, sellers offered 20 tonnes with bids at 80 tonnes.

Turnover decreased to 49 tonnes from 60 tonnes on Monday, while the price differential between the KLTM and the LME widened to US$270 premium of a tonne compared with US$160 yesterday.
