DHL Express, an international express provider, has invested in a new full-fledged service centre in the KL central business district (CBD).
The KL Service Centre, a new 20,000-square-foot facility is DHL’s second largest by volume in Malaysia and the first of its kind set up within the KL CDB by an international express provider.
DHL Express Malaysia and Brunei managing director Christopher Ong said to meet the growing logistics needs of customers, DHL had invested RM4 million to build and equip the centre that covers the central commercial and financial services sector for Kuala Lumpur.
“The express industry continues to grow despite the global economic challenges.
“We still see robust shipment volumes and by moving part of the operations from Subang Gateway to the new KL Service Centre, we are enhancing our delivery network, improving response time and the ability to support customer needs.
“The KL Service Centre will see about 5,500 shipments daily, both in and out,” he said when officiating the opening today.
