OCBC Bank has launched OCBC Premier Voyage, the country’s first credit card made entirely out of metal.

Made of duralumin, which is famously used in aircraft construction, OCBC Premier Voyage allows users to redeem air miles for flights on any airline, for any time of the year and without expiry.

OCBC Bank’s head of consumer financial services Lim Wyson, during the unveiling of the card today, said that “travel benefits feature most prominently in OCBC Premier Voyage as a reflection of the desires of this segment of affluent individuals”.

“What we have done, in effect, is to remove the longstanding restrictions on travel miles redemption… That means our customers would now have more than 1,000 airlines globally to choose from any time of the year, subject, of course, to their own seat availability and conditions.”

OCBC Premier Voyage cardmembers can redeem flights on all airlines using “Voyage Miles” via a concierge service called the Voyage Exchange, which allows cardmembers to make their redemptions and travel plans through a phone call or email.

Individuals with Assets Under Management with OCBC Bank of over RM300,000, or Liabilities Under Management of at least RM2 million, are eligible to apply.
