In this four-part series, KiniBiz examines the Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). We begin by considering the fact that the RSPO is facing questions on its motives and role in the industry. We move on to examine the organisational structure of the decade-old sustainable palm oil certification body with a view to investigate claims the RSPO disadvantages growers. KiniBiz then closes in on the competing upstarts and uncovers the instigators behind a heightening of sustainability standards. In the final part, KiniBiz brings up some views and opinions from key personalities in the palm oil industry.
