The first-ever Malaysian equity crowdfunding will be a highlight of the Asean Crowdfunding Conference to be held in KL this month.
“A major attraction will be the newly launched Malaysian equity crowdfunding platforms. Participants will also get a chance to meet the history creating first-ever companies that will be raising funds through equity crowdfunding platforms,” said the organisers in a statement.
The conference is part of the 1 Asean Entrepreneurship Summit, a government backed week-long celebration of entrepreneurship, comprising a major conference and a host of satellite events aimed at Asean entrepreneurs.
According to the organisers, the event will also include captivating topics, high-level panellists and major crowdfunding players from Asean.
“The Asean Crowdfunding Conference will be an important satellite event designed for companies and investors to gain awareness about the possibilities of crowdfunding. It will be an all-inclusive industry-led event that will strive to highlight the various types of crowdfunding,” said the organisers of the event in a statement.
Speakers from leading platforms from around the Asean region will be joined by equally eminent speakers from the larger funding ecosystem.
The Asean Crowdfunding Conference is from Nov 19-20, 2015 at Dewan Sri Pinang, Etiqa Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur.
