The Malaysia Premium Travel Fair (MPTF) 2015 will kick off at the Subterranean Penang International Convention and Exhibition Centre (Spice) here, starting tomorrow.
Its chairman, Mohd Khalid Harun said MPTF would create an opportunity to industry players to participate and deal with sales, promotions as well as market their products and services to potential customers.
“The objective is to create awareness. There are such things as luxury tourism and premium tourism. So, when I create the awareness in Penang, people in the northern part of the country will follow up later.
“All the people involved in this sector, that means the stakeplayers, will take up the initiative to further improve their products and services,” he told a press conference here today.
About 30 exhibitors will take part in the three-day travel fair which is expected to lure about 15,000 visitors.
The event is from 10am to 8.30pm. Entrance is free.
MPTF is a niche event catering to high-end suppliers and providers of products and services in the travel, tourism, hospitality and other services that complement and support these sectors.
