Exabytes Network Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s Web hosting provider, will host the inaugural “Malaysia Internet Business Summit (MIBS)” to emphasise the potential for business growth as exemplified by real statistics and business cases.
To be held on Oct 15–16 at the One World Hotel in Petaling Jaya, MIBS 2014 aims to accelerate the uptake of the online-based business model in Malaysia via the viewpoints and perspectives of prominent businesses, Exabytes said in a statement today.
These, it said, include Twitter and Zalora on leveraging social media for business and the outlook of e-commerce Malaysia respectively.
Exabytes’ Chief Executive Officer and founder Chan Kee Siak said MIBS 2014 is also being organised in response to the Multimedia Development Corp’s (MDeC) call to support the establishment of a more vibrant digital economy for the country.
“To grow the market size of Malaysia’s Internet-based business and e-commerce, it is crucial that more conventional enterprises move to and enhance their online presence,” he added.
Speakers at the event include those from Singapore Post, We Chat, Easy taxi, Expedia Travel, iProperty, Presto, HIShop and other top Internet business players, as well as from new and emerging industries to share their successful online business strategies and experiences.
