SME Corp today announced that the validity period of the goods and services tax (GST) eVoucher has been extended to Feb 28.
“Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are urged to redeem their eVouchers from appointed GST compliance accounting software vendors immediately,” the corporation said in a statement.
SME Corp said the GST eVoucher was introduced as a quick, fast and efficient method to disseminate the grant to SMEs for the purchase or upgrade to GST compliant software, to prepare them for implementation of the GST on April 1.
It added that after distributing 150,000 GST eVouchers since June 1, 2014, the redemption rate by SMEs could still be elevated, although the period for doing so expired on Jan 16.
