Might-Meteor Advanced Manufacturing logo thumbMight-Meteor Advanced Manufacturing Sdn Bhd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with City & Guilds International Ltd for a pilot Recognition of Prior Experience (RPE) programme in Cyberjaya.

The RPE scheme gives Malaysian candidates credit for skills, knowledge and experience gained through working and learning to determine the credit outcomes of an individual application for recognition.

“The programme will upgrade the current workforce from Malaysian Level 3 Certificate to Malaysian Level 4 Diploma in meeting the industry demand.

“This is in line with Malaysia’s aspiration to become a developed nation in the future and with the government agenda to achieve the national target of 50% skilled workforce by 2020,” the agency said in a statement.

The partnership, which is now at the final negotiation stage with the Skills Development Department (JPK), will see Might-Meteor as the project manager providing advisory, development and administration services for the RPE scheme.
