The labour force participation rate for November 2015 decreased slightly to 67.7% from 67.9% in the previous month, said the Statistics Department.
It said year-on-year (y-o-y) comparison showed that the rate was higher by 0.2 percentage points compared with 67.5% in November 2014.
The unemployment rate increased by 0.1 percentage points to 3.2% in November 2015 compared with the previous month, said the department in ‘Monthly Principal Statistics of Labour Force, Malaysia November 2015’ today.
“Y-o-y comparison showed that the unemployment rate rose by 0.5 percentage points.
“The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.3%, up 0.2 percentage points compared to the previous month,” it added.
