City of Elmina, Sime Darby Property’s latest development, saw nearly all 255 double-storey link houses collectively worth RM188.18 million taken up during its soft launch.
Sime Darby group chief operating officer Wahab Maskan said the reception to the soft launch signals the increasing number of Malaysians seeking homes in an environment that promotes a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
Noting that City of Elmina will have a 300-acre parkland that is an extension of the existing 2,700-acre forest reserve adjacent to the township, Wahab said that the township will also feature a 70-kilometer cycling track, a well-marked marathon-distance (42km) jogging track and a wellness cluster of retail shops, facilities and amenities centered on health and well-being.
“In addition, safety and security of our residents will also be a priority and have been incorporated from the design stage of this township,” explained Wahab who is also the managing director of Sime Darby Property.

The 255 units were the first phase of homes in the 5,000-acre township development. With a collective valuation of RM188.18 million, the price per intermediate unit of these freehold properties range from RM599,888 to RM828,888.
According to Sime Darby Property, the next phase of residential units will be unveiled by the fourth quarter of this year.
Sime Darby Property also announced that the township’s industrial component has also been well received, with all of its 51 vacant lots taken up. The lots collectively has a sales value of RM370.07 million and encompasses 95.46 acres.
City of Elmina is located along the Guthrie Corridor, which is part of the Selangor Vision City. The Corridor has been backed to be the growth centre and catalyst within Greater Kuala Lumpur and Klang Valley in the future.
