Syarikat Takaful (M) Bhd’s pre-tax profit for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2015 rose 9.3% to RM204.21 million from RM186.7 million registered in the previous year.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, Takaful said the higher profit was attributed to higher wakalah fee income and revenue.
“This was due to higher sales generated by both family and general takaful business plus higher nett investment income.
“On prospects, we will continue rewarding our customers with 15% cash back for general takaful products. This is to establish a strong foothold in the local insurance and takaful arena,” it added.
