AirAsia X to fly daily to New Zealand

AirAsia X, the long-haul, low-cost affiliate of the AirAsia Group, today launched a new route to Auckland, New Zealand via Gold Coast, Australia.

The new destination was officially launched by New Zealand Commissioner to Malaysia John Subritzky. Also present during the launch were AirAsia X Group chief executive officer (CEO) Kamarudin Meranun, AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes, and AirAsia X Bhd CEO Benyamin Ismail.

With this new route, customers can travel from Kuala Lumpur to Auckland with a stopover in Gold Coast.

“New Zealand is a world-class destination that has always had a special place in our heart. We are excited to be back in this beautiful country to launch this service,” said Benyamin Ismail. He added that New Zealanders will also now have more flights options to Gold Coast.

AirAsia X is currently offering a promotion of all-in fares from RM499 for economy seats and RM1,499 for Premium Flatbed seats (both only applicable for one-way travel). Customers may book these promotional fares from Jan 13 to Jan 24, 2016, for the travel period of March 22, 2016 to Feb 5, 2017.
