Australian-national Ashok Ramamurthy, who is the group managing director of AMMB Holdings Bhd, has resigned from the board of the banking group.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, AMMB Holdings said that Ashok, who was appointed as non-independent executive director and group managing director of the group in April 2012, resigned from his position as non-independent executive director yesterday.
However, the 52-year old Ashok remains the group MD for the company. AMMB’s share price remained flat at RM6.45 as of 11.30am today.
