Ezipoz productPos Malaysia Bhd has launched its latest service, EziPoz, a platform that enables customers to shop directly from over 350,000 online merchants in the US.

“Why choose the US first? This is due to our collaboration with SingPost as it is working with the US

When they move to other places, we will also move with them in tandem with their strategy,” he told reporters at the launch of EziPoz here today.

He said the initiative underlined Pos Malaysia’s expanding e-commerce services portfolio, designed to increase revenue streams that would eventually benefit its customers.

“The new service complements our courier and small packages segment following declining usage of the mail service. It is the prevailing trends worldwide,” he said.

Iskandar said Pos Malaysia handled more than one billion items in its postal service in the last financial year ended March 31, 2014.

“Right now, the bulk of our revenue comes from mail, accounting for over 50% while courier service contributes between 35% and 40%.

“We are going to reduce our dependency on the mail. We want to see the mail contribution to fall below 50% while the courier service surpassing the 50% mark by the end of 2016 or 2017,” he said.
